The 'Gypsies of Ukraine' is a dance unique to Romanetz. It celebrates the dance and music of the Roma, or Gypsy people who live in Ukraine.

The Romanetz Ukrainian Dance Ensemble is a dance group dedicated to preserving and re-interpreting the traditional folk dances, culture and music of Ukraine.  Since 1978, Romanetz has enthralled audiences across Canada and around the world with their unique style of Ukrainian dance.

'Pryvit' is the traditional Ukrainian welcome dance which concludes with the dancers offering bread and salt to the audience - two ancient Ukrainian symbols steeped in cultural and religious significance.
The 'Hopak' is the celebrated finale of a performance which is filled with spectacular solos from the dancers.
The 'Zapos' dance was choreographed specifically for Romanetz. It showcases the martial-arts-style fighting techniques of the Zaporozhian Cossacks.
The 'Dance of the Wind' is an elegant woman's dance with stylized footwork from the Hutzul region of Ukraine.
